The DynaMedia Engine
The DynaMedia engine used by EMD controls the digital distribution, financial disbursements, and anti-piracy control associated with media display and delivery.
The DynaMedia Engine performs media delivery and management
of audio and video clips for branded portals. The engine performs
all the primary functions of the portal, including controlling what
media is displayed, managing purchases, and managing payouts
to webmaster affiliates and intellectual property owners.
The engine utilizes Cross Portal Distribution Technology named
"PortalTalk." This technology allows information and media to be
distributed across all the sites and portals in the EMD network. Branded
portals can display media produced by intellectual property owners, while each portal has full control of whether their content is
displayed by other portals. The Engine prioritizes the portal's media
to the top of all displays, such as featured artists and search results.
By making more content available, portal owners are creating
a "one-stop shop," increasing the possibility that the consumer will
return to their portal and purchase additional media. PortalTalk
also manages what content should not be displayed. For example,
a music label specializing in religious music such as Christian Rock would
likely not wish to have "Hip Hop" music available from their portal.
The DynaMedia Engine will track from which portal media is
purchased, and will manage the appropriate payouts for that media.
Internet users have come to expect a rich feature set in web
applications. The current planned feature set includes
media delivery mechanisms, file format conversion abilities, media
review and rating systems, discussion forums, free sample files,
picture hosting, playlist sharing, credit building for referrals, event
listings, flash players for music playback with embedded "buy
now" functionality, personalized page creation for self promotion,
and portal creation with an extensive affiliate program.
Free services will promote traffic, customer loyalty, and
community involvement amongst users of similar interests.
